Choosing earrings by face shape and height

The choices you make in your jewelry represents your personal statement of style. There are no strict rules of what is right or wrong when it comes to making personal earring choices. Choosing earrings based on your height:. You can follow a general direction based on your height. Size is a key. As in with clothing your earrings should enhance your facial features and should not compete with your body proportion. Below are guidelines based on height.

Earrings for Petite Heights (Under 5'4")

Petite ladies best styles are based on elongating their bodies and creating a vertical line. Clothing with V-necklines and monochromatic color schemes provide a vertical visual and create length. Earrings can provide a key point when they bring attention to the face and bringing the viewer's eye up. The key is to concentrate on complimentary colors and proportion. Earrings for Average height (5'4"- 5'7")

Choosing earrings based on your face shape

Understanding your face structure and your hair style. These two components drive the impact a pair of earrings will have on the overall look. Based on bone structure, faces are basically categorized into geometrical shapes: Rectangular-shaped, Heart-shaped, round-heart, oval-shaped.

Earrings for Rectangular-shape



Rectangular shape
This face shaped is has more length than width, usually with strong angles and a strong chin which is in balance with the forehead. This structure looks great with earrings that help to disguise the length of the face with width. Round-face
The round face has a circular width which is the almost the same as the length, with little angles. Most of this jewelry is based on top quality materials, although styles are not always unique, you may be paying for the name of the brand rather than the material. A savvy customer must be aware of how much they want to invest on the quality of a piece vs. the name of the brand. This jewelry is based with longer trends in mind. If you choose your pieces carefully they will not only keep their value, they increase it over time.
